Day 1: Pamplona. Monday July 5.
We arrive at our campsite this afternoon and meet other tour members and the guide. Listen up for a fast and informal meeting with the leader including registration and a short brief about the adventures ahead and some cultural info. Tonight we celebrate with a pool party.
Day 2: Opening Ceremony. Tuesday July 6.
This evening the madness starts and we attend a champagne opening ceremony and festive celebration including a grand fireworks display when night falls.
Day 3: Running of the bulls. Wednesday July 7.
Ready set GO! Today we are running in front of bulls that have been let loose on a course of the town's streets, (or watching safety from the sidelines) as the mayhem unfolds before our very eyes. Injuries are common to the participants who may be gored or trampled, so be warned!! - this is not for the faint hearted. The purpose of this event originally was the transport of the bulls from the off-site corrals where they had spent the night, to the bullring where they would be killed in the evening. Now it’s grown into such a popular tradition of man vs. bull.
Day 4: Running of the bulls, San Sebastian. Thursday July 8.
Another day to watch the frantic bulls race down the small roads. There is an optional excursion to explore San Sebastian a picturesque tiny town – the streets are lined with busy tapas bars and beaches either side of a historical bridge where you can walk around the small town and drink up the Spanish way of life.
Day 5: Running of the bulls.
Friday July 9. After breakfast we have another heart stopping day at the front of all the action. Don’t miss a thing as more bulls are racing to meet the other end, stopping all in their path. Our trip will end this afternoon, we say goodbye to our new friends and pack up camp. Day 6: Running of the bulls.
