Day 1 Munich
Arrive in Munich. Tour leader meeting in the afternoon. Pre-Oktoberfest party in the evening.
Day 2 Oktoberfest Welcome to Wiesn! Today we enjoy the amazing atmosphere of the beerhalls!
Day 3 Closing Day Closing day of the festival. Our final day to taste the Bavarian beer and amazing food.
Day 4 Munich
The tour finishes after breakfast.
Day 1: Munich.
Friday October 1.
Gather round in the lobby this afternoon as we meet other tour members and the guide. Listen up for a fast and informal meeting with the leader including registration and a short brief about the adventures ahead and some country and cultural info. Tonight we head out for an orientation of sorts – a Pre-Oktoberfest party this evening that might just involve a drink or two!
Day 2: Oktoberfest.
Saturday October 2.
WELCOME to Wiesn!!! Don’t forget to put on your clean beer clothes because early this morning, after breakfast we leave our hotel and are taken to the heart of the Oktoberfest action. Its here that we witness and are very much involved in the traditional beer blitz that stops a town and draws in thousands from every corner of the globe. Be prepared for serious intoxication….. we mean enjoy drinking the best beer in the world in moderation! Ýts the a day for trying typical German beer foods such as Sauerkraut or Rotkraut (red cabbage) along with such Bavarian delicacies as Obatzda (a fatty, spiced cheese-butter concoction) and Weisswurst (a white sausage).
Day 3: Closing Day.
Sunday October 3.
We take part in the closing day of drinking, the serious beer bonanza ends today but thankfully all day is still considered beer o´clock!! The day is spent with a glass in your hand as we enjoy the amazing atmosphere and festivity of the many beerhalls. We shall also be sure to try a great deal more of the local traditional hearty fare such as schweinsbraten (roast pork), Würstel (sausages) along with Brez'n (Pretzel), Knödeln (potato or bread dumplings), Käsespätzle (cheese noodles), Reiberdatschi (potato pancakes).
Day 4: Munich.
Monday October 4.
Our trip will end here, trying to shake the hang-over after breakfast we say goodbye to our new friends and check out of the hotel.
