All holidays in this brochure are operated by Travel Talk and sold subject to the following conditions;
1. The person booking online, via our agents or signing the booking form accepts these conditions for and on behalf of all the persons named on, substituted or added to the booking form and online booking documents.
2. All prices shown are current at the time of designing this brochure in December 2009. We reserve the right to change any of the facilities, services, prices, itineraries or vehicles described in the brochure without being liable for compensation or refund.
3. Flights from your country, excess baggage, visas, insurance, extra meals and drinks, items of personal nature, entrance fees, tips, port taxes, laundry and all the other services not stated in the “inclusions” sections of this brochure are not included in the prices.
4. Force Majeure: a) We do not accept liability for any loss, damage or expense resulting from war or terrorist activities, threatened or actual, civil unrest, industrial action, weather conditions, fire, flood, drought, airport regulations and closure, unforeseen alterations to public transport schedules, rescheduling of aircrafts, boats, or any type of transportation means or any other event outside our control which either delays or extends the holiday arrangements. b) We do not accept any responsibility for any client who contravenes any law or regulation of any of the countries visited while on the tour.
5. Complaints: Any complaints must be made in writing directly to Travel Talk Head Office Customer Services, which should be received by Travel Talk within 15 days of completing the tour the complaint is regarding. The comments or complaints written on the surveys are not considered as a formal application.
6. Visas and other documents: It is client’s responsibility to obtain any visas, passports, health certificates or other travel documentation required. It remains the client’s responsibility to ensure that these documents are in order and meet any additional costs incurred as a result of failure to comply with such requirements.
7. Agents’ responsibility: It’s your agent’s responsibility to advise Travel Talk of any special requirements you may have and to communicate to you any changes or alterations advised to your agent by Travel Talk.
8. Booking and payment: To make a booking, a non-refundable deposit of £ 60 is required together with the completed booking form (online or documental). The balance of monies must be paid no later than 60 days (90 days on Anzac and festive tours) prior to the departure date of the tour; otherwise we may treat the booking as being cancelled by you. The booking is not transferable to another person under any circumstances.
9. Special offers and discounts: Special offers and discounts can only be applied at the time of booking and can not be retrospectively added at a later date. Additional terms & conditions can be added during special campaigns and are solely valid for the specific campaign they refer to. Please see our web site for separate terms and conditions applicable to each offer. In all cases only one discount can apply to a Travel Talk Tour booking. When two or more offers can apply to a booking in all cases only the discount offering the largest saving to the booking will be applied.
10. You must clearly state all your requirements on the booking form. All changes, amendments or additions must be confirmed by you in writing within 30 days of the departure date to avoid cancellation or amendment fees. Otherwise an amendment fee of £25 per person will apply. Changing the tour date is subject to availability of the new requested date. If the changed tour or local payment has a higher price or value, the price difference must be paid by the passenger. It is not possible to transfer your booking to travel dates outside of seasonal dates covered on our website or by the relevant edition of the web site valid at the time your original booking was made. Hotelier cancellation charges are liable to be paid by the client in the event of booked pre-tour and post-tour accommodations not being used whatever the circumstances are.
11. Solo travelers: All prices are based on twin/double or triple share occupancy. Solo travelers not wishing to pay a single supplement will be accommodated in a twin or triple room according to availability with a passenger(s) of the same gender. The single supplement only needs to be paid if a room for yourself required and the single supplement must be paid in addition to the tour fee. Single rooms are not available for ANZAC tours; all rooms are on a shared twin or triple occupancy.
12. Passengers under 18 years old are not accepted in Travel Talk tours. Bookings from people under 18 will be accepted invalid.
13. Local payment: The Local payment is part of the contracted Travel Talk tour fee and is to be paid upon arrival to start the tour; otherwise joining the tour will not be considered under any circumstance. The Local Payment £140 is to be paid in cash only. This can be the equivalent in the Local currency, Sterling, US Dollars or Euros. The current amounts of the local payment and taxes are declared on the web site of Travel Talk. If there is a change (increase or decrease) in the amount of the local payment and/or taxes, the current amount declared on the web site will be charged to the passenger. There is no compulsory local payment on Travel Talk’s Flexy Tours, please see the relevant web site for the details of Flexy Tours.
14. Pre- and Post tour accommodation : Solo travelers need to book a single room for pre and post tour accommodation for all destinations even when they have a twin share booking for the tour itself.
15. In the event of cancellation made by the client, the following charges will apply:
60-30 days 70%, 29-15 days 85%, 14-0 days 100%.
16. In the unlikely event of Travel Talk cancelling a tour, Travel Talk will notify the client at least 7 days before the departure and will offer the client the option of either replacing the booking with another departure/tour or getting a full refund of the monies paid for the tour (does not cover the flight ticket or any other item which is not related with the tour operated by Travel Talk).
17. If a passenger fails to join a tour or joins it after departure, or leaves it prior to completion, no refund can be made.
18. It is a condition of travel that all clients are insured against sickness, loss of baggage, loss of personal belongings and cancellation or curtailment of the trip. Having regard to this, we shall not be liable for any loss or expense arising from the loss of any type of travel baggage (including day pack, hand bag etc), loss of camera, any type of personal belongings and cancellation or curtailment of the trip. In the event of sickness or accident interrupting the trip, we shall not be liable for any cost or expense arising there from. We shall not be liable for any refund, either total or partial of passage money paid.
19. The information contained in Travel Talk’s brochure is correct to the best of our belief, but we accept no liability for any innocent inaccuracies contained herein.
20. Travel Talk reserves the right to refuse carriage to any person at any time prior or during the trip, if, in Travel Talk’s opinion, the applicant or trip member is not compatible with the general enjoyment and well-being of other members of the trip. The final decision will be taken by the tour leader appointed by Travel Talk.
