Day 2 Istanbul and Bosphorus (B)
Blue Mosque, Hippodrome, Topkapi Palace and the Underground
Cistern. Bosphorus Cruise & Welcome Party.
Day 3 Istanbul, Gallipoli, Ayvalik (B, D)
Istanbul for Gallipoli to visit all the important memorial
sites in the region without the crowds! Kabatepe War Museum,
Anzac Cove, Chunuk Bair, Lone Pine.
Day 4 Ayvalik, Pergamum, Ayvalik (B,D)
Day 5 Ayvalik, Troy, Gallipoli (B)
Day 6 Dawn Service, Ceremonies, Istanbul

Day 1 Istanbul, 20 April 2009
Welcome to Istanbul, the only city in the world connecting
two continents: Asia and Europe. Meet our reps at the
airport for the complimentary shuttle transfer to your hotel.
In the afternoon our tour leader will brief us about the
next days of our journey. Evening free to start exploring
Istanbul on your own.
Day 2 Istanbul and Bosphorus (B)
After breakfast we start to discover the magnificent sights
of Istanbul including the Blue Mosque, Hippodrome, Topkapi
Palace and the Underground Cistern. After your own
arrangement for dinner we join the Bosphorus Cruise &
Welcome Party and spend memorable hours on the fascinating
strait between Asia and Europe.
Day 3 Istanbul, Gallipoli, Ayvalik (B, D)
Early in the morning we depart Istanbul for Gallipoli to
visit all the important memorial sites in the region without
the crowds! Our guide will take us to Kabatepe War Museum,
Anzac Cove, Chunuk Bair, Lone Pine and tell us all the
stories about the legendary campaign. We then make our way
to Ayvalik, the charming Aegean sea resort.
Day 4 Ayvalik, Pergamum, Ayvalik (B,D)
Today we depart Ayvalik for Pergamum. We discover all the
highlights of this ancient city including the remains of the
Temple of Athena, Temple of Trajan, library and theatre cut
into the hillside. In the afternoon we return to our hotel
in Ayvalik and join the Anzac Barbecue.
Day 5 Ayvalik, Troy, Gallipoli (B)
After breakfast we depart Ayvalik for the world famous
ancient city of Troy. We then make our way to Anzac Cove and
spend the night there to prepare ourselves for an
unforgettable Dawn Service experience and commemorate the
93rd anniversary of the Gallipoli Campaign.
Day 6 Dawn Service, Ceremonies, Istanbul
Early in the morning we attend the Dawn Service and the
national ceremonies. In the afternoon we depart for Istanbul
where we remain overnight.
Day 7 Istanbul (B) Our trip concludes after breaktast. |
