Detailed Itinerary |

Day 1 Istanbul, Bosphorus Cruise, 23 April 2009
Welcome to Istanbul, the only city in the world connecting
two continents: Asia and Europe. Meet our reps at the
airport for the complimentary shuttle transfer to your hotel.
In the afternoon our tour leader will brief us about the
next days of our journey. In the evening we join the Welcome
Party on the Bosphorus cruise boat and spend memorable hours
on the fascinating strait between Asia and Europe.
Day 2 Istanbul, Gallipoli (B)
After breakfast we depart for Gallipoli and visit the sights
briefly before making our way to Anzac Cove. We spend the
night there to prepare ourselves for an unforgetable Dawn
Service experience and commemorate the 93rd anniversary of
the legendary Gallipoli Campaign.
Day 3 Dawn Service, Ceremonies, Gallipoli, Ayvalik (D)
Early in the morning we attend the Dawn Service and the
national ceremonies. In the afternoon we make our way to
Ayvalik, the charming Aegean sea resort.
Day 4 Ayvalik, Pergamum, Ayvalik (B, D)
Today we discover the ancient city of Pergamum and the
remains of the Temple of Athena, Temple of Trajan, library
and theatre cut into the hillside. In the afternoon we
return to the coastal village of Ayvalik. In the evening we
also join the Anzac Barbecue.
Day 5 Ayvalik, Gallipoli, Istanbul (B)
After breakfast we depart for Gallipoli to visit all the
sights without the crowds ! Our guide will show us Kabatepe
War Museum, Anzac Cove, Chunuk Bair, Lone Pine and tell more
about the campaign. In the afternoon we return to Istanbul.
Day 6 Istanbul (B)
Today we discover the magnificent sights of Istanbul
including the Blue Mosque, Hippodrome, Topkapi Palace and
the Underground Cistern. Our trip concludes in the
afternoon. |
