Day 1
Istanbul, 14
April 2009 Welcome to
Istanbul, the
only city in the
world connecting
two continents:
Asia and Europe.
Meet our reps at
the airport for
complimentary
shuttle transfer
to your hotel.
In the afternoon
our tour leader
will brief us
about the next
days of our
journey. Evening
free to start
exploring
Istanbul on your
own.
Day 2
Istanbul and
Bosphorus (B)
After breakfast
we visit Blue
Mosque,
Hippodrome,
Topkapi Palace
and the Hagia
Sophia Museum.
After your own
arrangement for
dinner we join
the Bosphorus
Cruise & Welcome
Party and spend
memorable hours
on the
fascinating
strait between
Asia and Europe.
Day 3
Istanbul,
Ankara,
Cappadocia (B,
D) Today we
depart Istanbul
for Ankara, the
capital city of
Turkey and visit
Ataturk’s
mausoleum. We
then head to
Cappadocia, the
“fantasy land”
of rock
formations :
chimneys, cones,
needles, pillars
and pyramids.
Day 4
Cappadocia (B,
D) Today we
explore the
natural and
historical
beauties of
Cappadocia
including the
Goreme Open Air
Museum, Pigeon
Valley and
Uchisar. We also
visit local
handicraft
manufacturers
and learn about
the traditional
art.
Day 5
Cappadocia (B,
D) Today we
explore the
world famous
underground city
and Kervansaray
in the region.
We’ll also trek
at the
impressive
Ihlara Valley,
famous for its
spectacular
environment and
natural beauties.
Day 6
Cappadocia,
Antalya (B, D)
After
breakfast we
make our way to
the magnificent
Mediterranean
coast. In the
evening we
arrive in
Antalya, one of
the most popular
restorts in the
southern Turkey.
Day 7
Antalya, Fethiye
(B, D) After
spending some
time in Antalya,
we drive further
to Fethiye, the
popular summer
resort in Turkey.
Afternoon free
to start
exploring the
beauties of the
spectacular
Mediterranean
coast.
Day 8
Fethiye,
Oludeniz,
Kayakoy (B, D)
Today we depart
for the peaceful
lagoon of
Oludeniz and
swim in the
tranquil waters
of the Med (if
the weather
allows). In the
afternoon we
visit Kayakoy (Karmylassos),
the old Greek
town famous for
its impressive
old stone houses.
Day 9
Fethiye,
Pamukkale,
Hierapolis,
Kusadasi/Selcuk
(B, D) Early
in the morning
we drive to
Pamukkale and
discover the
magnificent
white calcium
formations at
this area and
the ancient city
of Hierapolis.
In the afternoon
we’ll continue
to Kusadasi/Selcuk
region where we
stay overnight.
Day 10
Ephesus (B, D)
After
breakfast we
explore the most
impressive and
the best
preserved
classical Greco-Roman
city in the
Mediterranean :
Ephesus.
Day 11 Selcuk,
Pergamum,
Gallipoli (B)
Today we
continue to
Gallipoli and
make our way to
Anzac Cove. On
our way we visit
the ancient city
of Pergamum. We
spend the night
in the open air
at Gallipoli to
prepare
ourselves for an
unforgetable
Dawn Service
experience and
commemorate the
93rd anniversary
of the legendary
Gallipoli
Campaign.
Day 12 Dawn
Service,
Ceremonies,
Gallipoli,
Ayvalik (D)
Early in the
morning we
attend the Dawn
Service and the
national
ceremonies. In
the afternoon we
make our way to
Ayvalik, the
charming Aegean
sea resort.
Day 13
Ayvalik (B, D)
Free day in
this resort town.
In the evening
we join the
Anzac Barbecue.
Day 14
Ayvalik,
Gallipoli,
Istanbul (B)
After breakfast
we depart for
Gallipoli to
visit all the
sights without
the crowds ! Our
guide will show
us Kabatepe War
Museum, Anzac
Cove, Chunuk
Bair, Lone Pine
and tell us more
about the
campaign. In the
afternoon we
depart for
Istanbul.
Day 15
Istanbul (B)
Our trip
concludes in
Istanbul. |
