Day 1 Istanbul, 18 April 2009
Day 2 Istanbul and Bosphorus (B) Blue Mosque,
Hippodrome, Topkapi Palace and the Hagia Sophia Museum.
Bosphorus Cruise & Welcome Party.
Day 3 Istanbul, Cappadocia (B, D) Kervansaray
Day 4 Cappadocia (B, D) Goreme Open Air Museum,
Pigeon Valley and Uchisar
Day 5 Cappadocia, Underground City, Pamukkale (B, D)
Underground City
Day 6 Pamukkale, Ephesus, Selcuk (B, D)
Day 7 Selcuk, Pergamum, Gallipoli (B)

Detailed Itinerary |

Day 1 Istanbul, 18 April 2009 Welcome to
Istanbul, the only city in the world connecting two
continents: Asia and Europe. Meet our reps at the airport
for complimentary shuttle transfer to your hotel. In the
afternoon our tour leader will brief us about the next days
of our journey. Evening free to start exploring Istanbul on
your own.
Day 2 Istanbul and Bosphorus (B) After breakfast we
start to discover the magnificent sights of Istanbul
including the Blue Mosque, Hippodrome, Topkapi Palace and
the Hagia Sophia Museum. After your own arrangement for
dinner we join the Bosphorus Cruise & Welcome Party and
spend memorable hours on the fascinating strait between Asia
and Europe.
Day 3 Istanbul, Cappadocia (B, D) Today we depart
Istanbul for Cappadocia, the “fantasy land” of rock
formations : chimneys, cones, needles, pillars and pyramids.
After arriving in the region we visit Kervansaray before
checking into our hotel.
Day 4 Cappadocia (B, D) Today we explore the natural
and historical beauties of Cappadocia including the Goreme
Open Air Museum, Pigeon Valley and Uchisar. We also visit
local handicraft manufacturers and learn about the
traditional art.
Day 5 Cappadocia, Underground City, Pamukkale (B, D)
After breakfast we make our way to Pamukkale. On our way
we’ll visit the Underground City.
Day 6 Pamukkale, Ephesus, Selcuk (B, D) After
breakfast we visit the magnificent calcium formations of
Pamukkale, then we continue to Selcuk to discover the most
impressive and the best preserved ancient city of Turkey,
Ephesus. In the evening we join the Ancac Barbecue.
Day 7 Selcuk, Pergamum, Gallipoli (B) Early in the
morning we’ll depart for the world famous ancient town of
Pergamum. After exploring this impressive sight, we continue
to Gallipoli and make our way to Anzac Cove. We spend the
night there to prepare ourselves for an unforgettable Dawn
Service experience and commemorate the 93rd anniversary of
the legendary Gallipoli Campaign.
Day 8 Dawn Service, Ceremonies, Gallipoli, Ayvalik (D)
Early in the morning we’ll attend the Dawn Service and
the national ceremonies. In the afternoon we make our way to
Ayvalik, the charming Aegean sea resort.
Day 9 Ayvalik, Gallipoli, Istanbul (B) After
breakfast we depart for Gallipoli to visit all the sights
without the crowds ! Our guide will show us Kabatepe War
Museum, Anzac Cove, Chunuk Bair, Lone Pine and tell us more
about the campaign. In the afternoon we depart for Istanbul.
Day 10 Istanbul (B) Our trip concludes after
breaktast. |
