WHY
PREMIUM? |
|
ANZAC Day Premium Tours provide you with an
extensive, historical re-count of the entire conflict that takes
you to the tragic heartbeat. If you wish to expand your
knowledge about the campaign and to be engaged on a real
pilgrimage by visiting all the important sights in the area in
depth, Premium Tours will meet all of your expectations. We take you to the scared grounds both
before and after the highly populated Dawn Service and National
Ceremonies. Without the crowds you can get to the heart of the ´digger´
in your own way, explore the tragic trenches in solitude, with
peace and respect. There is no other way to fully experience and
understand the isolation, fear and sacrifice than by staying on
the shores in a small and close group. This tour takes on all
the emotions and haunting memories with visits to cemeteries,
battle grounds and memorials.
|
Stay in Gallipoli for 2 nights.
Travel Talk is dedicated to ensuring you
have a memorable time
in the right ways. During the time spent at Gallipoli you will
have 2 nights in the heart of the peninsula
(1 overnight stay in a hotel besides the
Dawn Service eve
& night); this keeps travelling to a optimum, and allows you to
be restored both before and after an emotional Dawn Service and
also to better explore and encompass the spirit and history of
the cove. |
Feel the Spirit of Anzac by visiting all the sights
in the area.
By visiting all the shores, strategic and vital military points,
memorials and fields
of the battle,
you can experience the
lingering atmosphere of comradeship, courage and sacrifice.
People today still invoke the ANZAC spirit in times of conflict,
danger and hardship and live by the mateship motto: others
before self.
This tour shall encompass the laughter, the pride,
mutual support and the love of life that is in every Australian
and New Zealander. |
Visit Gallipoli without the crowds!
Unlike the majority of visitors to Gallipoli, Premium tours
allow the time and opportunity to explore your surroundings in
peace and tranquility and outside the height of Anzac Day itself,
which sees more than 10,000 people flock to the area. |

Detailed Itinerary |
Day 1: Istanbul, Bosphorus Cruise.
Sunday April 18.
At the terminal keep your eyes open for the Travel Talk representative, as we pick you up from the airport and take you to our Istanbul hotel. Gather round in the hotel lobby as we meet both the other tour members and the guide. Listen up for a fast and informal meeting with the leader including registration and a short brief about the adventures ahead and some country info. After the welcome has concluded we will then take a relaxing cruise along to magnificent Bosphorus capturing the spectacular sites and delights of Istanbul.
Day 2: Istanbul.
Monday April 19.
After breakfast we begin to experience the magnificence of Istanbul. We stroll through the old town visiting Blue Mosque, Hippodrome, majestic Topkapi Palace and the Hagia Sophia Museum. Today you can shop for keepsakes in the old town, visit the splendid Ottoman palaces or discover its many evocative mosques.
Day 3: Istanbul, Ankara, Cappadocia.
Tuesday April 20.
Today we sit back and relax in the coach. This is a day to enjoy the amazing Turkish scenery unfold before us, while listening to your music player or just watching the small towns and villages pass by. We pass through the capital Ankara bound for a night sleep in Cappadocia.
Day 4: Cappadocia.
Wednesday April 21.
We wake up for breakfast and are located amongst the "fairy chimney" rock formations, in a town in Cappadocia, a historical region of the Nevþehir Province in Central Anatolia. The Göreme National Park (Göreme Milli Parklar in Turkish) was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1985 and continues to astound visitors. We also visit Göreme Open Air Museum, Pigeon Valley, Uchisar and Cavusin.
Day 5: Cappadocia, Ihlara, Pamukkale.
Thursday April 22.
Today get ready to be more delighted with what Turkey has to offer both naturally and historically. What makes the valley of Ihlara unique is the ancient history of its inhabitants. The whole canyon is honeycombed with rock-cut underground dwellings and churches from the Byzantine period.
Day 6: Pamukkale, Ephesus, Selçuk/Kusadasi.
Friday April 23.
Now we head to Pamukkale meaning "cotton castle" in Turkish, this is a natural site that contains hot springs and travertine’s, giving the appearance of terraces made by carbonate minerals left by the flowing water. The ancient city of Hierapolis was built on top of the white "castle" and people have bathed in its pools for thousands of years. The best preserved ancient town in Turkey, Ephesus, will be our next stop. Ephesus is a spectacular ancient city and was one of the seven churches of Asia that are cited in the Book of Revelation. Famous also given that historians believe that The Gospel of John was written here. It is also the site of a large gladiators' graveyard and famed for the Temple of Artemis (completed around 550 BCE), one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. We
will have our Anzac BBQ tonight.
Day 7: Selçuk/Kusadasi, Troy, Gallipoli.
Saturday April 24.
After breakfast we head to the ancient city of Troy, the setting of Homer's epic, Iliad, involving a giant wooden horse. We then continue to Pergamum, and the remains of the Temple of Athena, Temple of Trajan, library and theatre cut into the hillside. In the evening we jump into the coach and head for the shores of Gallipoli. Tonight we set up base camp to ensure the best position is kept for the Dawn Service and we sleep under the stars in the ceremony area.
Day 8: Dawn Service, Ceremonies,
Gallipoli.
Sunday April 25.
We wake before the break of dawn and watch as the sun rises over the battle field, we remember the soldiers who lost their lives on this exact day all those years ago. We also attend the National ceremonies and services later in the day. This afternoon we re-charge and freshen up back in our hotel.
